The M8 coupe is ok but not a great car. I prefer driving the 991 Turbo S and even the e92 M3 if I need more room. Basically the M8 is my choice if I want to drive slow and make a phone call.
I have an m8 convertible and it is my daily in winter and summer and it is very comfortable, fast enough for the street and luxurious (I only wish it had seat massage)
I am not sure how people can drive this car slow.
My car is always on M1 (sport plus engine and D3) even if i am driving for 5 min to the grocery store. This is why you buy an M car not an 840i
The M8 is a slug compared to my modded 991 Turbo S which does 0-60 in low 2's...mid 9 at 147 1/4 mile, 182 1/2 mile and will run up to the fuel cut in 7th gear at 236mph GPS. And yeah I drive it to the limit on the street sometimes when streets are empty.

So even if I push the M8 it feels slow to me. So I don't risk it. Not worth getting a ticket in a slow car like the M8.

All about perspectives gentlemen.
