I know what you mean. Our neighbor has a Tesla Model S P90D. That's the first car to ever give me the same butterflies I get when on a roller coaster. They drove when we went out to dinner one night and my wife said "what's insane mode?" He floored it and it felt like my entire life hit fast forward. Absolutely incredible sensation.
That said, I'm sure you'll adjust to it and it's not like you really drive like that everyday so I wouldn't be dissuaded from buying it.
