As alaska stated, wax/sealant's function is not to remove swirls. Wax/sealant is a last step product (LSP) to protect the paint from the environment while retaining a nice shine that everybody seems to like. On the other hand, some sealants can contain 'fillers' that basically 'fill in' the swirls to hide them. Eventually the fillers will wash out and the swirls will come back.

Compounds and polishes are what is needed to effectively remove swirls by evening out the surface of the clearcoat, removing swirls.

Swirls are a problem for every color car, they are just more easily seen on darker colors. Just the same as your leather interior.. lighter colors don't get dirtier, the dark colors just hide the dirt more.
