the guy did some heel-toe double clutch downshifts in a pretty impressive fashion
There was one well-known video back in the days showing this technique. as long as you don't use more time downshifting vs the time it takes you to complete your braking, properly done double-clutching could result in a faster downshift while bypassing the synchros. Double-clutching is smoother and is the proper way to do 5-2 or 4-2 downshifts at high speed (provided you are within the rev limit of the 2nd gear). It is not required on modern cars ,however, but it's a good technique to know.
