Indeed it was. I would never wish a gruesome, possibly career ending injury like that on no one. Hopefully the kid can recover...
On another note... I just read on Bleacher Report where an "anonymous player" had stated that he truly believes Pete and the higher ups did NOT want Lynch to be the "one to get the credit for winning this game". But they preferred Wilson to be "the one"Obviously we may never know...
