Yes with some models there still may be a minimal difference even after performing the mentioned coding. As said in my case with the F32 it was 2 km/h. With the E92 I had before that, they matched perfectly though (GPS vs. Odometer). I used uncle Tom for GPS measurement as back then I had no dragy. The idea is to be as close as possible to real speed so coding it definitely helps. A slight variance is one thing (2 km or say less than 3 mph). 10 km/h or 5 miles or higher as standard is definitely off for most to accept. Personally I like to have it that what I see is actually what I am driving. Indeed altering tire setup vs. stock may affect speedometer readings too.
