I know most people go down a size for comfort. The 19s are more comfortable than the 20 or 21, from what I hear. That said I think most winter tires are in even sizes, 18 and 20; but I don't know.
I looked into winter tyres but decided that I'd just go with all seasons if I needed, as we don't get too much snow.

The tires have been decent and the car drives great in snow. They are as comfortable as the PS4s. There are not run flats, just conventional tires but I believe there are run flat options.
I can see 19" for snows; think Noushy has a 19" winter set but don't think that 18" would clear the brakes.
