Consider doing the Tail of the Dragon? You are so close. I did almost that exact route myself in April, but to an earlier point, the BRP can be slow. I had more fun on the backroads off the BRP. Be sure to check for any closures on the BRP. They are always doing some construction somewhere and my route got changed to accommodate a few closures.
