So the moment the M5 finishes, the M850i still has 0.6s to go. 180.4 ft/s * 0.6s = 108.24 ft. That is not perfect since the M850i is not going 123mph when the M5 finishes, but it should be pretty close. The rate of acceleration is fairly low by then.

And yes I'm aware of the math and was under the impression he was comparing M5 to CP given his placement of the comment which was .3 sec difference which again....is 56 feet. Shocker that it's about half of your .6 at 108'. |
Between the M5 Comp and M850i, easiest estimate would be to assume the 0.9 difference in 1/4 mile time right before and after the M5 Comp breaks the line is similar (though not precise), at 130 mph that's 172 ft in 0.9, so not hundreds but closer to hundreds than 56 ft
