I owned the revamped 6 back in 2004 and loved that that car but I never thought it was anything other than a very nice BMW.
The 8 design has gone much further, it has a new DNA which brings BMW design in an other league.
6= very nice BMW
8= design that competes with the Aston, Bentley and the likes.

Nothing is exotic about 8 series design TBH.
Wonder why BMW decided to discontinue 2-door 8 series already.
