well i sorta cramped all the wires inside the cover, how did you manage to put the wires inside the headlight? believe me it is relatively tight!
anyhow strangely enough it is working perfectly fine now, i turned on and off about a dozen times in automatic mode, both headlights came on. i might swap the ballast from left to right if it happens again.
