There are so many nice cars here in CA and especially the OC where there are no front plates and the ticketing is rare or it is for me, my friends and my family.
Now in the LA area if a parking lot is public or the car is on a public street, the meter police can and will tag your car for no front plate.
While the front plate ticket is almost always the fruit of a more poisonous tree; one can still get ticketed for it here in CA as the only infraction.
