Interesting and found that on the Ultimate Care web page. But at the top vs down in the 2017 and newer section that still states non-transferable. Once again BMW can't punch their way out of a paper bag in the digital world as the statement needs to be either in both places or just under 2017 and newer as a 2022+ is newer than a 2017.

Love this forum as learn something all the time. In fact it was the forum (technically the X5) that called out the change on the 2017s with the watered down maintenance vs 2016s and older. Tried to find a 2016 on the ground for my wife's custom ordered spec (or close enough) but couldn't so ordered the 2017.

Had no intention of transfer on it as a keeper (traditional financing) nor my 2020 M850i as was going to either just turn in the lease or buy it out. I chose the latter. 👍

Now the curiosity on the "why" BMW changed. Perhaps due to the used car market insanity in 2021 and 2022 so they figured it would help with sales on CPOs, etc.? Now we just need BMW FS to bring back the negotiable RV on a lease. 😜
