Bought a Jaguar Project 8
After picking up a F-Pace SVR earlier this summer, I had planned to keep my SVR f-type for the next 5-10 yrs. as the v8 engines slowly die out. At least that was the plan until I came across this Project 8 at a decent price, and with only 4,000 miles. Well, the f-type is now gone.
I’ve had the car for a few months now and with about 1,200-miles on it, so here are some impressions for those who are interested in this unique vehicle.
-It grips like nothing I’ve driven. The closest car comes to mind is a 911 gt2 rest I drive at a track event back in 2022.
-The power is too much for public road. It’s now easily the fastest car in my fleet.
-It draws a whole lot of attention, but most people think it’s some sort of aftermarket kit car.
-The transmission is very good with quick up and down shifts when you call for them. The upshifts comes with a chain saw like snarl that is very addictive.
-It’s a car that is more fun to drive fast vs. just cruising around town (my black series is more fun in this arena).
-The details on the exterior, form the all carbon hood and bumper to the flared out rear arches, are pretty cool to observe.
-The interior is pretty plain for such a special car.
The car came with PPF and ceramic so no extra work is needed here. Now I just need to enjoy it as much as I can before the colder temperature comes due to the fact that it wears cup2 tires.
