My point was, it can hardly feel underpowered by someone used to driving a car with the same engine that is inherently heavier and slower.
It’s an interesting one in the UK - the V8 just wasn’t popular at all (likely due to our stupid fuel and tax costs). Just looking on Auto Trader, out of 196 cars for sale, only 38 of them are the V8.
I’m very happy in my 840i, it’s quicker than 90% of the cars on the road here, and as it’s my daily doing 12-14k miles a year, it’s decently economical too.
