I watched Dune last night in 4K glory and it was good. Special effects were pretty cool. I thought it was a bit of a slow start but picked up as the movie progressed. I wonder how long it will be before the next installment is released.
I haven't seen the original for decades so I don't remember much about it. I don't remember them having a force field (shield) protecting them during battles. Honestly I didn't really like those effects as it brought it down a notch IMHO. I'm nitpicking of course. Overall I enjoyed it.
+1 for HBO Max streaming this movie. I especially like the fact that I have a subscription for free as part of my service with AT&T for fiber Internet service.
