Hoping Michelin’s will be better. Let’s see
The car has done 8500 miles from new. Rears wore down to the markers at 8500 miles. Front sets are lasting about 4000 miles which is similar to the road test reports when the car first came out.

I have Michelin Pilot sport 3 run flats on my 840d, they were on them when I took delivery and they've done 9,500 miles with no issues whatsoever. They still have at least 6mm on them too and I have driven those 9.5k miles hard. I keep the pressures at 2.7 bar which suits it fine and no odd noises when on full turn. I would be shocked if it was a characteristic of the 8 series, sounds more like the choice of tyre.
