I'm not really sure this is filling the shoes of the S-Coupe, as the car is being designed in-house by AMG and will share similarities with the GT. I'm thinking of it more as a the roadster version of the GT, and AMG has been saying that this SL will be much more dynamic and athletic than prior generations, unlike the S-Coupe which was primarily aimed towards luxury with no sporty intentions. AWD is a possibility for the 63 or 73e variants.
As for the Bentley GT, I sure would hope its better than the SL considering the much larger price and higher brand hierarchy.
