Running into a large black bear from the laws of physics standpoint is similar to a head on collision with a Smart Car. Regardless of the damage to the Lincoln I hope everyone in the car walked away uninjured. I lost a cousin in Wyoming due to an accident with a deer. On impact the deer literally ended up flying over the hood and through the windshield. |

Luckily my wife basically just clipped the bear with the side of her large SUV. any head on or smaller car, and it surely would have been different.
