I agree. I am moving from a 911 Turbo to a M8 comp. The rationale is that I want a different type of car. The 911 was and is awesome - classically beautiful, well engineered, fast, low and noisy. It's a blast to drive. However, it can be uncomfortable, loud and has some ergonomic challenges. I'll miss the drive but am looking to have a more GT car experience for a few years. If I had more garage spaces, I'd keep both because they are just different.

BMW doesn't have a 911 equivalent and Porsche does not have a M8 equivalent.
