As far as I'm concerned every one of our contest's themes is nothing more than an excuse to think in a particular way about photography, and then let that inspiration work as it will. Arguments about all the minutiae of what qualifies and what does not tend to drain the fun out real fast.

So maybe we should do away with the "techniques" contests like bokeh or leading lines and go with more generic themes, like "lines" instead of "leading lines" or "blur" instead of "bokeh."
