This is a great move from BMW, finally a real top of the line GT. The result look damn near perfect! Bring it on!

This angle makes it look like a cross between a jaguar and a Mercedes GT R.

Awesome renders. I wonder if it will have a bit more 'shark nose' in the actual design?

You make a great point. I wonder how fast these will depreciate compared to the 6er it replaces

IMO the angle chosen does not showcase the car properly. The Headlights are OK, the front bumper looks too much like the M5 whereas the M8 showcases the new design language from BMW. The mirrors are way too big.

If I have time, I'll have a crack at a render ;-). I've done 1st draft a couple of months ago, but it needs to be a little bit more "angular" looking, and of course updated with the latest wheels etc from the M5... I'd also change the ride height...

You do know right that the M8 has already been previewed in metal (in camo wrap of course) at the M festival not long ago? The M8 cabriolet has already been photographed in testing as well.

I'm curious at what they are going to do with the 6 series lineup going forward found it odd they would replace the 6 series with the 8 series. Didn't see a need imo

One word: money.

With the debading. they have moved it upward, uppened the prestige and luxury, so they can charge us more.
Besides, the 6 is now what the 5GT was, yes i know...
