I guess at least it looks like I can just unplug the carbahn and plug in the race chip? Dont have to do all the change out of the wiring etc. assuming they are the same type of plug?

And if anything ever happened to the car, I could just pop off the race chip and put the carbahn back on and voila warranty still active

Don’t know about that, but the Racechip plugs in exactly the same as the carbahn module. Then you choose which map to run. You can choose the map from the GTS Black RC from the faceplate or after connecting to the app the unit uses.

Ok thats great info. So I can buy the one below, and just pop off the carbahn and pop in the race chip and set it to the map and use the app and im good? which map is best to run on a 2024 M8 CC? Thanks!

Also does anyone know the story behind the RaceChip XLR5? Is it an add on or something?

So do you guys recommend the RaceChip over the Dinantronics? Or are they pretty similar?

Considerable difference in my opinion. You can certainly feel the improved acceleration and it just keeps on pulling.

Would you trust someone whom saying bad things about piggyback tunes, but then ended up selling piggyback tunes by private labeling a known company’s product?
Just saying.

Hey guys, thanks for all the responses! Just got back from vaca and am back to looking into tuning. So it seems like carbahn isn’t the way to go lol, so scratch that… also sounds like racechip is the way to go!

But then I have another question, I read somewhere on here that there was a problem running racechip on cars with catless secondary downpipes. Is that true? Can anyone confirm?

Wasn’t a problem on mine and I had my secondary cats deleted and ran the RC. Have never heard a report of such.

What sort of problem did you hear about?

I just sort of skimmed it, but they seem to say there is a problem regarding catless downs and racechip putting the car in limp mode at higher rpm. Maybe they fixed it, idk, but I could have sworn I’ve heard/seen at least a few people on here with both, and they worked fine! Such as yourself lol

Never had issues with any of my customers running secondary and RC.
I will read through the link when I get a chance. Can’t click the given link on mobile App.

Reporting back. it's INSANE. Anyone with an M8, you need to get the GTS black and XLR combo. Its stupid. Like night and day difference when you put it in race mode.

I would do chargecooler first before heat exchanger.
Chargecooler like CSF, it has bigger core, able to absorb heat better and will gives you lower IAT.
It will be much more beneficial during Summer.
