Yeah don't mind him... Once you crash a bike a few times everything starts to look the same.

The 3D mapping is off the chain.

I love how it goes RED to make sure you know to slow it down before you regret it.

Because it's no longer an ultimate driving machine

Too many cycles required to interpret the message this gizmo is trying to communicate.

Your mind has to filter a ton of noise to get the message.

Save the intensity for the actual road and not interpreting crucial data.

BMW has finally jumped the shark.

Look at audi to see how to pull this off the right way. Beautiful, classic modern and functional.

This looks like a crappy video game. The inverse tacho on the right looks especially useless and confusing to the eyes.

On the bright side it can probably be updated with software and at some point a sane graphic designer will step in.

Neat digi display. Screen resolution still looks like it could be improved a bit

Noooooooo. I love the HUD on my BMW 3-Series. From speed to GPS graphics it does all this does plus it encourages and even rewards you for keeping your eyes on the road. I do not want to have to keep glancing at the instrument display. As far as I can see this would be a step backwards. I would like to see the HUD expanded as to what it can show and ways to fully customize the position of the data, colors and perhaps priority overrides.

Seems like the 8 will have some great features on the instrument panel but I hope the HUD is just as good. I haven't looked at my instrument panel since I bought my 6. If the idea is to make a safer driving experience, looking down at your instrument panel may not be the best way to do that.

Short Video by the Designer

He was in charge of exterior design. He describes the design features of the exterior and interior of the new 8-Series Concept car.
