Advice on buying an M8

So, I’ve recently handed back an 840i GC company leased car I’ve had for the last 2 years and miss it already. It was my daily drive and I found it wonderful

For practical reasons I now drive a Nissan Navara truck as my daily drive but am considering an M8 for the weekends. There are a number of low mileage (ie less than 15k miles) 2020-2022 M8 on auto trader here in the Uk at about £75-£90k which is a huge discount on new

My questions:
1. Convertible? Clearly not the ideal weather I the Uk but lovelely when we do get some sun. What are peoples experiences of the M8 convertible?
2. Love the GC and the legroom in the rear seats for the kids was OKish. Are the coupe rear seats even useable without having to smash the front seats forward?
3. If I’m looking at low miles used M8 anything I need to keep an eye out for?

Thanks.

2. The coupe rear seats are not comfortably usable for adults. But IMO the proportions of the coupe are much nicer.
3. I would look out to get one without any bumper damage that has been repaired. Also I would prefer one with the drivers package, and the bo/bw not the hk hifi. And make them put new tires on it when you buy.

So the drivers pack removes the speed limit? Also I the Uktimate pack?

2. I have had an 840 convertible as a loaner and in my opinion the rear seats are unusable in practical terms unless a child seat is involved.

i have m8 conv. Great car, get me smiling when I drive it.
But...I use wind shield and it blocks rear seats, so to me its strictly 2 seater fun car for good weather/

The rear seat are for amputee's only with no neck. Or someone you hate.
I personally feel the GC is the best looking of all the models. I guess it's the proportions as said above.

M8 vert here too, lovely, but we have it in SW Florida, so very different than the UK. As others mention, back seats are for young kids only. I too really consider it a 2 seater.

M8 coupe is the fastest of the three, less weight. But back seats are non usable. Very comfortable for 2 but 2 only.

So I’m leaning towards the M8 GC. I know not quite a sporty as the coupe, but the 840i GC I had was very useable.

Thanks everyone

I have had both the GC and now the Coupe ---

My thoughts about things not mentioned above:

GC is wide and mean looking- its bad ass but I got a great offer and sold it for all the cash in 2021. The longer wheel base definitely makes for a better GT cruising ride on the expressways but its not as nimble as the Coupe. It did endure the undulations better than the Coupe and again thats probably because of the wheelbase and length differences.

The Coupe is optically beautiful too and the exhaust note "seems" louder than my GC and maybe thats due to the shorter distance from ears to the pipes.

If I had got the Coupe in 2020, I would be equally pleased to now have the GC so its a toss up and it will come down to personal preference for sure.
