I love it and can’t wait! – I’d like either an M650i or M650d xDrive with a deployable towbar (so I can still tow the Caterham to trackdays) as my next daily driver please BMW.

Definitely looks similar in size to the current 6 coupe. The exhaust tips would make it look like a 650i I assume with 2 small tips hidden behind each trapezoidal outlet.
The long gap between wheel and door combined with the large rear overhang and long sloping roof should make a pretty good looking car |

I'm not liking that bloated rear. Needs to be more sleek.

this is definitely the next gen 6 series. the i8 is BMW's modern 8-series. you guys need to forget your dream of BMW bringing back a giant GT 8-series, instead they will bring a big luxury SUV = x7. (have you seen the YoY sales in US, SUVs rule!)

I dont know why to compete with the 911 for SALES the car has to be as good a sports car as the 911, really doesn't even have to be in the dynamic ballpark , If you surveyed most 911 buyers they are buying purely for badge/status/style. All BMW has to do is look the part and deliver on luxury and acceleration which is how most regular buyers decide if a car is sporty or not.
to enthusiasts it will not compete at all on the track or backroads, but will the average buyer really know or care about that difference as long as it looks like it could? |
