I’ve been looking around but I can’t find many options

i need something valved bc police around here got sensitive ears.

A temporary fix would be to enable the Engine Sound mode via BimmerCode and set to Sporty. This opens up the exhaust flaps in COMFORT mode on the 840i.

1. Connect Bimemrcode

2. "Headunit"

3. Expertmode

4. Search for "Sound"

5. Set Display_configurability_engine_sound to active

6. Set Display_menu_configuration_engine_sound to active

7. Save

Or just pull the fuse that controls the exhaust flaps (while in an open state). You'll be surprised at that alone. It won't matter if you start in Comfort or Sport Plus as in a cold start it's all about the flaps and the mode does not matter as on a cold start the ECU fuel mixture does not play a game in that given my extended testing.

Case-in-point after leaving my F2F staff meeting last week with others escaping as well 3 quick button presses on the fob and it lit up a floor below the others. Even got asked "what the hell is that?". My answer being ICE as most of my fellow SLT have EVs. 😜
