Dammit, I knew BMW was going to neuter the awesome taillights and turn them into boring rounded rectangles like on the upcoming X4

The rear looks terrible too, but I'm hoping it's just the picture being compressed or something. Look at the lines for the license plate holder and trunk. It's MASSIVE and takes a ton of the vertical space. The model number and X-Drive badge look awkward under the taillights too.

The front looks OK, but generic. Just slapped on the corporate M-Sport bumper from the 4 series and called it a day. IMO the Lexus LC blows this thing out of the water from what we've seen so far... but I'll reserve full judgment until it's fully revealed.

So much hate. You can barely see anything in these crappy pictures. I think it's going to look stunning, especially in a different colour.

Crappy hidden camera taking quick horrible pictures and everyone is ready to burn it all to the ground.

Dont quit your day jobs. Sure glad some of you guys are NOT designers.

Can't believe they're using that cheap looking shiny black plastic everywhere...reminds me of an Altima. My G30 5 series has some of that cheap black stuff but not as much of it doesn't look as bad as it does here.

The rear picture is distorted because of the fish eye angle of the lens. Look at the angle of the "vertical" wall pillars, they are at the same funny angle that makes the car look wrong. If the camera were centre on the car, it would probably have normal proportions

I'm disappointed.
Wish If the production cars could be something close to the 8 concept which was so nice.
Too bad

No, it's a coupe. The F13 was a convertible and an ugly one at that. Rocking the same soft top from an E64, which was even uglier.

Better view of the rear. Reduced the distortion of the original picture:

remember the leaked pics of the 7 series?

after 2 years it doesn't look that bad right?

I believe that the rear of the 8 series will have the same impact.
I think it will look amazing but we just need to get used to it
