I'm afraid the M8 is going to be the first M car with a worse looking front than the M sport version. The bumper just doesn't look sharp enough, kinda too flat and the carbon fibre parts don't do it any favour actually.

Looks like the luxury speed yacht of the M line up.

Not sold as yet but It's definitely looking better.
Anyone want to do a render of what the front bumper will look like since they have shed some camouflage?

Overall looking great. Have not seen any pricing yet for m8 and m8c. I would guess they would start a notch above their respective m5/m5c . Bmw usually prices coups a bit more than sedans. Yes they are not related but for the engines , if I recall correctly the 8's are built on the 3 series platform. I would expect 650 ish listed HP for the m8c making it a tick or two quicker that m5c (0-60 2.4 sec? 2.0 flat with mods?)Price? 150k well optioned m8c? What you guys think? Ok now looks. Yes the 8's have some "interesting " design elements, love them or hate them. I have noticed what seems odd in pictures often is seen much differently in person ie: X7. Let's wait for final product. Remember once the m850 was tested it put down some surprising numbers

Yep these were taken in a warehouse when the car was taken to Belgium or Netherlands or something like that. I’m not completely sold on the front based on the pics but on a different angle with decent lighting etc it could look good.

While I wish it will have a bit of a power bump, at least to 470kw to match the GT63s but a few sources have been confident the engine specs will be identical to the M5. I would like to see the standard car with the M5 comp spec engine, then the M8 comp with a power bump. |

My M6 RRP was NZ$286k, with 4k miles and 8 months it was $137k.
I'm anticipating the M8 will be NZ$310-320k and if BMW have a demo car something similar will happen, I'll be able to get it for $150k or so.

The BMW M8 Coupe drops camo while continuing its testing at the Nurburgring. To see what's under that camo, see the leaked M8 Competition photos @ https://f92.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1561288

Those images warp the proportions of the car.

many BMWs these days just simply don't photo very well.
the second generation 1 series headlamps looked goofy.. The front of vehicles like the X2 M and Z4 had contrasting black plastic elements that did not look good in photos. The side and rear angles of the G20 sometimes look awkward... X7 grilles appear horrible in photos but better in person.... you are pointing out issues with the 8.... one positive... it certainly doesn't look like a Mustang... moral of the story... it's best to reserve final judgment for the final product in person... |
