M8 coupe, competition

So who do you think the M8 coupe will be directed at for competition? I just saw the first drive on the AM vantage. Looks like a worthy competitor around 150k. Or does anyone think it'll be a bit more performance oriented and be more directed at 911, f-type, amg gt, etc.?

It's much to large to be a 911 Competitor. F-Type? Maybe.

It's much more of a GT Car.

Ya definitely too large to compete with 911 but I think a competitor to the f-type. AM has the prestige advantage I guess but I think the M8 will hold the performance advantage.

Yeah I think Austin Martin has fallen asleep in the engine department.

I felt that way 5 years ago and I still do.

I agree with you, though I think partnering with Mercedes and using their TTv8 might be a good thing for them. I’ve felt the same way about Maserati as well.
