Arrow Video: A demonstration of the BMW 8 Series Dashboard and Interior

Here is a nice look at the new 8 series instrument panel and interior layout. Now about that music... :/

was the car still in the break in period?

was wondering if it did some sort of cool color change as you approach red line but I don't think it had the 1200 miles service yet?

I don't understand why BMW never just offers a simple race mode cluster with simple shift lights etc. Just look at what Ford has done in the Ford GT. That's what I want! This here looks cool, but not clear enough imo.

Sounds like an aftermarket solution.

Not feeling it myself... Give me a proper round revometer and speedo. I prefer what Audi has done with their digital instrument cluster. This looks tacky

I like the current setup. navigation stuff and other infotainment on the centre stack screen and hud. the speedometer and other analogue items should be three dimensional for the look just like a nice watch, easy to read and classy.

Bring it as is

I hope that we see the finished article as close to this concept in the same way as the i8.

The feedback from people in the community and out of it has been overwhelmingly positive.

Bmw really has no remaining self respect.

Look at audi to see how to pull this off the right way. Beautiful, classic modern and functional.

This looks like a crappy video game. The inverse tacho on the right looks especially useless and confusing to the eyes.

On the bright side it can probably be updated with software and at some point a sane graphic designer will step in.

Pretty cool and sleek, high tech. Very video gameplay. But anything big is easy to read and great. I love the three-dimensional mountain passes view. Would be cool if you could change the colors. Time to move into the future people.

Seems like a car for a Florida gentleman presenter with a 20 something GF, a few ex-wives and a golf club membership. Not really inspiring to drive.

I like it, but prefer real needles, anything without needles looks fake to my eyes. The mind knows real when it sees it

I don't understand the 3D mountain passes. I suppose it would come in handy if I'm driving in stealth mode but otherwise it looks distracting and not very useful.

Would be nice if most of this were on the hud. Don't see myself looking down that much.

Porsche did this correctly by keeping an analogue tachometer.

Looks too Rad Racer to me
