New Pics - via Facebook. Interior is completely uncovered and in High Definition. Looks like an M850i. You can see a little M-Badge right under the gear shifter

It's not bad...very similar to the concept.

But idk why aside from the outgoing 6-series BMW never adds any flair/pazaaz to their interiors.

The S-class coupe has all these beautiful flowing lines and diamond stitched leather on the dash. It's visually striking and a real work of art in comparison.

But anyhow, it's not like the 911 or Audi R8 have very visually striking interiors either.

I agree never really seen a visually striking or wow factor from any BMW interior; then again i assume they're more focused on performance which i can definitely appreciate.

I hate the look of the new dials. I prefer ones that look like the old analog dials.

Yeah...

I do wish the IP was pointed toward the driver like in the original 8-series.

Quality of everything looks top notch...although I wonder why they went with the plastic steering wheel buttons when the 7er's are all metal.

It's still a prototype in the end, just it doesn't have any camo on, so I think fine details like steering wheel buttons etc will come later.

The IP does point towards the driver. Just hard to tell in these pics.

Good to know. I feel a flagship coupe that'll be priced well into the $100Ks should have a more special steering wheel than a 530i M sport.

I know the S Class Coupé isn't a direct competitor, as it's larger and more luxury than sport oriented while the 8 Series willingly assumes a more sporty, sober and minimalist interior, but still, which one looks cheaper?...

Yes its a big difference. All the little lights on the 8 series looks like a flight deck. BMW interiors may not look as nice as Audi or MB but they are functional and that gets points.

Still can't stand the portholes. Looks like you are in a cabin on a cruiseship.

Interior looks good. It is more cold/mechanical feeling to me over the S-Class or Mercedes offerings, their interiors come across as more supple & organic to me. These 8 series leaked pics are a LEAP ahead of the current BMW interiors look wise, though.

Benz is now making interiors that, yes, look more expensive and are more bling-bling. That does not automatically make them feel more expensive, however.

Yes, but in contrast that Mercedes interior will look like the control room front the Santa Maria in ten years where as the more simple bmw design will look good for years to come.

Idk man, the W222 has aged remarkably well inside and out. It feels as modern today as it did in 2013.

I can't believe this whole complaining about bmw interior is a thing. It's a sporty design with equally high quality. The Benz is extremely nice and high quality buttttt, so is the bmw.

It's like ice cream, pick your flavor and enjoy:

I for one hate the new Benz two-iPad-Dash design and think it kills the overall interior design. Just looks like it's an early prototype compared to the rest of the cabin

Ugh that counter clock wise tachometer. Will the M-HUD also be counter clockwise? If not the inconsistency will be mildly infuriating.
