Not sure if I am the last one to know this... But Bowers & Wilkins is back and you can select it on the configuration page for at least M850

Yes, it's officially back and to your point now on the configurator vs a few months back hand selected on the order sheet by one's dealer.

Yea, it was back as of May allocations. It was only the first 2 months people that got screwed out of it.

LOL but understand as well. Enjoy the drive as the HK gets the job done and at the end of the day it's all about the car unless your an audiophile like myself that makes a car audio system part of the requirements.

I've never heard the HK system. I'm sure it must be pretty decent as well. At least there are some upgrade options.

HK is decent and one has to adjust (tune) the stero to his/her own liking, as one would do with the B&W. It just sucks if one was spoiled with B&W in the past, but it is a whole lot better than dropping all the way to the bottom and having the HiFi stero.

If the chip shortage, etc. hit to the point that even HK was not available (upgrade still in several series) and BMW dropped down to HiFi stereo for the 8-series that would be walk away time.

Not to dig up an old thread, but finally I get to join you all in good sound. Just put in an order for an X5 M60 and couldn't click that B&W box fast enough!
