The Carbon Core is strategically placed at the main load bearing points of a body-in-white. Pillars, chassis, transmission tunnel, roof structure. Thiis in place of conventional steel in which Carbon offers further exceptional structural rigidity at the right points where structural strength is essential but with less weight than usual steel.

There is also the choice of a Carbon roof which offer further innovation through lightweight technology.
The 8 also makes use of composite materials on its outer skin as well as hard pressed steel and aluminium under its skin.
